Travel Diary: New York Weeks Three and Four

I can’t believe that I lived in New York City for a month! Time definitely flew by, and I am so grateful for this experience. I have always imagined living in New York, and I am still in shock that I got to make my dream a reality.

Since my main reason for coming to New York was for an internship, I didn’t do ALL the typical tourist activities, but I definitely got to experience New York as both a tourist and a local. During the week, I would join the millions of people who worked 9-5 jobs on their commute, and I would blend right into the New York crowd. On the weekends, I would join the millions of tourists who were soaking up everything the city had to offer.

I have always heard YouTubers hype up Glossier, and how amazing their stores are. Naturally, I had to take a trip there to see what all the hype was about. I can say I am truly impressed. I got the Milky Jelly Cleanser and the Birthday Balm Dotcom, and I already know I will be repurchasing these items. The store had such a great aesthetic to it, and I was just so amazed by all of it!!

One Saturday, my Uncle and I decided to go biking around Brooklyn Bridge Park. It was definitely a refreshing workout, as we biked over 12 miles! I’ve always wanted to go to Dumbo because of a certain famous tourist photo spot there. From this spot, you can see the Manhattan Bridge in the back, and the Empire State Building lines up perfectly in between the bridge! There were so many people taking pictures there, and I even saw some wedding shoots there.

Now I am back at home, and I feel like I can finally relax. This was my fourth trip of the summer, so I haven’t really spent that much time at home. I went to Cabo, Fayetteville, Colorado, and New York, so this was definitely a summer full of travels! I have three weeks before I move in for college, and I’m super excited!! I’m a little bit nervous to move six hours away from home, and I won’t have any of my best friends with me :(. However, I’m so excited to start this new chapter, and I can’t wait to bring y’all along with me :).

xoxo,

Fo♡
